Additional services

Sometimes clients need more than a simple translation from one language to another. That's why we also provide a range of translation-related services that are provided by both linguists and layout designers.

We offer text recognition and desktop publishing for a whole range of file types. They ensure ensure that the translated file or technical drawing looks exactly the same as the source file and is of the identical layout.

Services like sight translation and converting handwriting to text prove especially useful when it comes to processing poorly printed or scanned files, as well as handwritten texts. These also include the benefit of working with non-conventional or elaborate fonts.

Two other services — editing and proofreading — help to improve the text or double-check the translation. They may be required for both the source and target documents, especially at the prepress stage.

If you aren't sure which of the additional services would best fit your project, don't hesitate to contact us for more information.

You ask, we answer

?How do I know that I need editing or proofreading?

!All our translations undergo a language quality check which is already included in the rates per word. In many cases that is more than enough.

However, we recommend opting for editing and proofreading when working with printed materials, online publications, marketing texts, websites and content. A text improved by the editor or proofreader will definitely have an added value.

?I need just a translation, so why am I being offered an additional formatting service?

!Formatting preserves the original design of the document after the translation is done. It allows to keep the pictures and diagrams in their place, as well as to ensure that the page numbers and font correspond to the source, and the tables are not stretched out of shape.

We also translate captions, text boxes and inserts in pictures, schemes and drawings. Proper formatting helps to put them in the right place.

?What type of file should I send for translation? Do I need to convert it before submitting?

!No, you don't need to do that. We work with most types of files, from .doc to .indd, and you don't have to convert or prepare your file to order a translation. Just send it to us, and we will take care of the rest.
